Coaching

“To challenge new horizons, you must first lose sight of your shores.”

The “Pencil” Coaching

“A coach is a person who is ‘The Pencil’ in your hand helping you draft the plans you choose the path, the methodology, and the activities that will bring you closer to your objectives. Together we will find a methodology that stretches you to find what is within and together we will use that information to move forward in your search.

My role is to facilitate, dreaming, visioning, growth and learning. I will be your sounding board and as you move ‘The Pencil’ as you wish to, you will draft your vision and the best plans for you to succeed.

Coaches are tools to be used, not the answer-givers that provide short term results. I will be the ‘The Pencil’ that draws the long term sustainable changes that you design and commit to.

I believe that all people are inherently good and want to do the right thing.

Coaching builds relationships built on trust and safety where you are able to be vulnerable.

I believe that the success of coaching and the relationship it builds in not in solving a problem, success is in the journey itself to find a better and more effective you.

In order to change our lives we must be willing to change our habits. That will be uncomfortable and stretching and fun. So enjoy!”

The role of the coach is to maximize performance by asking questions, providing challenges and accelerating your progress. This style of one-on-one coaching takes place by telephone or face-to-face.

John has earned his certification in Executive Coaching from Royal Roads University. Executive Coaching is allowing others to discover what they have inside, believe in themselves, and then act upon what they know. In order to be the person and coach that John is capable of he is defined by:

Honesty

Truth in his word

A coach is a person who has found a solid and personal methodology that stretches themselves to find what is inside and within and is trained and qualified to use that information with others to move forward in their quest for a more effective and rewarding life.

Coaches also are able to support and challenge clients to do the same. They act as a sounding board, a spring board and an instrument of the client. That instrument will be guided and used by the client to scribe or draw the vision and ideas and plans that route the path to success for the client. We are their tool and test; we are not the answers, only the pencil that writes them.

I believe that all people are inherently good and want to do the right thing. Executive Coaching builds a relationship where clients are safe and provides for them an environment to be vulnerable and protected as they uncover the keys to a stronger and deeper understanding of who they are and how they become that person at work, at home and in the stillness of their lives.

This relationship instills and builds trust for all parties and the context to confide and test situations and boundaries as we both learn and stimulate each other. I also believe that we all want to be better people and enjoy learning more. It is the discomfort of learning about ourselves that is not treasured and Executive Coaches are a tried and tested tool that gives comfort and understanding on this journey.

This journey will activate clients to broaden their self awareness, create a desire to learn more and be more and enhance all facets of their life. The journey will be made up of a series of conversations that contain observations, queries and proposals from the coach to motivate and educate the client about concerns and issues they may not see at present. In order to change our lives we must be willing to change our habits.

That will be uncomfortable and stretching and fun. So enjoy!

Executive Coaching

This form of coaching will focus on business leaders and the issues that they face as a leader, mentor, and support person. Executive Coaching allows the client to hone in on their areas of strength whilst uncovering the unused skills that they possess and may not use fully in their leadership and support roles.

Business Coaching

As a business person at any level, we face daily trials and tribulations as our enterprises mature and develop. Business coaching allows the coachee to have a sounding board to seek a ‘second opinion’ or some validation or direction. Suggestions and ideas are reviewed and the best path for the client is decided and supported.

Personal Coaching

In life we find ourselves in situations that cause us to become stuck or static. As you talk about options, paths and a opportunities that present themselves, the coach will ask you the questions that give you insight into your way.
